Regular Meeting
February 6,2007

Chairperson Lynett McLean called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Commissioner Larraine Kelly, Commissioner Robert Stevens and Port Manager Chris Phalen were in attendance.

Guests Present: Mr. McDonald

Consent Items:

1. Motion was made and seconded to accept minutes of
January 2, 2007.
Motion carried.

2. Vouchers: motion was made and seconded to accept vouchers
for February as prepared.
Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:

1. Campground:
Port Manager Chris Phalen reported depositing $48.00 from campground and $600.00 from building.

2. Web Master:
Mr. Jarstad was not present and the commissioners made a decision that in the event that he could not attend the monthly meeting, that he Email us a report on the website.

3. Land Clearing:
Port Manager Chris Phalen, had one bid from Durbin Resources and Excavation for $8,393.25 and Commissioner Lorraine Kelly said her husband, Tim, had talked to Mike Huson who mentioned that Chris Phalen had put in a call to him earlier about the job.
Port Manager Phalen said Mike called her back and said he was going to get together with Tim Kelly and look over the property and get back to us.
Commissioner Kelly said Mike did bring up the question about where the stuff could be burned or haled away. This would need to be in the contract, in case something happens, we would be covered.
Commissioner Kelly asked about who owned on the other side of us and Port Manager Phalen said Manke just logged that and the flags are still up.

4. Office Chairs:
The purchase of 5 office chairs was discussed and Port Manager Phalen was asked to handle this.

New Business:

1. 80th Anniversary Celebration:
Date was set for May 19th, 2007 for 1:00 to 4:00p.m.
Menu would include baked beans, potato salad, chicken wings, meatballs, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit platter, rolls, and punch.
Old time fiddlers will perform music, if we can get them. Port Manager Phalen was asked to put a menu together for the next meeting.

2. Pens:
Port Manager Phalen told the commissioners the cost of the pens we choose for giving away was over $3.00. The Commissioners felt this was too much and asked her to check on a less expensive pen of her choice.

Open Discussion:

Mr. McDonald asked what we had heard in regards to cell towers. Commissioner Kelly said she didn’t know what happened to the tower that was scheduled to go up behind the Boomer place. Port Manager Phalen said she was told that the company pulled out of that deal because Polpe and Talbert gave them so much trouble. Someone suggested that with all that property down back, we could possibly convince them to put one down there, but neighbors may complain. Port Manager Phalen said they could put one on her property any time.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

Our next meeting will be March 6th at 7:00 p.m.
