Chairperson Lynett McLean called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Robert Stevens and Port Manager
Chris Phalen were in attendance. Commissioner
Larraine Kelly was sick and did not attend.
Guests Present: Mr. McDonald
Consent Items:
1. Motion was made and seconded to accept minutes of
April 3, 2007.
Motion carried.
2. Vouchers: motion was made and seconded to accept vouchers
for May as prepared.
Motion carried.
Unfinished Business:
1. Campground:
Port Manager Chris Phalen reported depositing $829.00 from campground and had $408.00 left in bank. Port Manager Phalen also reported very few reservations have come in for Memorial Day weekend.
2. Website:
No report, Ken Jarstad was not present.
3. Land Clearing:
Port Manager Phalen said she has not heard any more. Chairperson McLean said Commissioner Kelly was going to call someone.
4. Anniversary Celebration:
Port Manager Chris Phalen said the menu is the same as reported last month. Chairperson McLean said she would help, along with Sally Lambert & Pete and the Jarstad’s. Most everything is already purchased. Port Manager Phalen said she did purchase another crock-pot along with two large fry pans. Chairperson McLean said Commissioner Kelly is putting the ads in the newspaper. Chairperson McLean told Port Manager Phalen if Sally didn’t go shopping with her on Friday, she would go to help with the last minute items.
New Business:
1. Screen Doors:
Port Manager Chris Phalen told the Commissioners she had talked to people at the Home & Garden Show, and to have screen’s put on the two side doors would cost $250.00 each, the front door, $1000.00. She also said she found the ones that Commissioner Kelly was talking about for $9.95. A motion was made and seconded to order 12.
Port Manager Phalen told the Commissioners the Fire Dept. had inspected the building and the fire extinguishers had to be charged. The inspector told me to just go to Costco and purchase two new ones at a cost of $20.00 each, instead of having the other ones charged. Also, one of our exit lights needed work. Port Manager Phalen took care of both these problems.
