Regular Meeting

May 6, 2008

Chairperson Lynett McLean called meeting to order at 6:30p.m.Commissioner Robert D. Stevens, Commissioner Richard T. Edwards and Port Manager Chris Phalen were in attendance.

Guests Present: Ken Jarstad

Consent Items:

1. Motion was made and seconded to accept minutes of

April 1, 2008.

Motion carried.

2. Vouchers: motion was made and seconded to accept vouchers

for May 2008 as prepared.

Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:

1. Campground:

Port Manager Chris Phalen reported she deposited $609.00 in Shelton from campground. Petty cash is at $1,354.14, $200.00 in bank, and has $490.00 to go to bank. Port Manager Phalen said the campground looks great. She received a call from the Women’s Prison asking if we had any work they could do. We will get as many as 6 to 10 workers once amonth for the next 4 to 6 months for $1.00 an hour starting on the 19^th of June. We had six of them come out and raked up leaves and picked up all the garbage around the park and woods. They did a nice job. They will bill us on the 10^th of each month, and we have 30 days to pay them. They cleaned the fire pits and stove and we still have a lot of leaves to be raked up.

2. Website:

Ken Jarstad our web master said the website is doing fine. He said on March 26^th the website had 1000 hits.

3. Land Clearing:

Port Manager Chris Phalen just got an email from Mrs. Durbin saying Dennis would be moving in on Monday.

Our next meeting will be June 3, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
