Someone asked about the Oyster House. Commissioner Stevens said Commissioner Edwards has been talking to Manke and he is setting up a meeting with them. The Port still has a 3-year lease at Park. Commissioner Stevens said all the information is in our comprehensive plan that the Port wants to do. Our #1 goal has always been to make the park larger. Commissioner Stevens said nothing would be done until after the first of the year.

The Port doesn’t have a meeting in December.

Mr. Clements was talking about all the vandalism going on in Dewatto. Commissioner Stevens told him when he sees anything going on he needs to call the sheriffs office and make a report. He said that wouldn’t help. Commission Stevens told him there would be record of it that would help the Port get protection of their property.

Port Manager Chris Phalen said she talked to the Fisheries about what goes on down below the park. He said he has been writing tickets for the people going down there and also running them out on all Manke property. He added that people are leaving all their garbage down there, and when his people walk down there, they pick up the garbage is has to dispose of it. It will be bagged up and left at the kitchen. Commissioner Stevens said anytime any one sees anything going on they needs to call it in. Manke keeps putting up roadblocks and they just tear them down, go around them, or make a new road. Commissioner Stevens said if the Port had that, we wouldn’t have to block it off. We could manage it legally.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, January 2nd; at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday is a holiday.
