Regular Meeting
November 7, 2006

Chairman Robert D. Stevens called the meeting to order at 7:22 p.m. Commissioner Larraine Kelly and Port Manager Chris Phalen were in attendance.

Commissioner Lynette McLean was sick and did not attend meeting.

Guests Present: None

Consent Items:

1. Motion was made and seconded to accept minutes of October 3, 2006 meeting. Motion carried.

2. Vouchers: motion was made and seconded to accept vouchers for November as prepared. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:

1. Campground

Port Manager Phalen reported depositing in Shelton $1,314.00 from campground and $5,195.40 from DNR on building and cleaning rug and chairs.

2. Web site

No report, the Webmaster was not present.

3. Lock Box Keys

Commissioner Kelly said we have the keys and she and Port Manager Phalen know where they are and she would make sure they got put in the box next Tuesday, for the Fire Department meeting.

Port Manager Phalen said the lock box had to stay where it is. We did not put it up there, the Fire Department did, and the reason it was put that high was so no one could come along and knock the lock off and come into the building. Port Manager said the Fire Dept. has to stand on back of the fire truck.

4. Land Clearing

Commissioner Kelly said she called Dale Hall and left a message, and then she went on vacation. When she got back, she called him again. Still no returned call.

She said she figured the reason he has not returned her call was that he had gone hunting. She was going to keep trying to get a hold of him.

New Business:

1. Fire Department Emergency Box

Commissioner Kelly said this is a different box. The Fire Department would like to install a box that they could have a defibrillator and telephone on the outside of building.

Commissioner Kelly was asked to bring this to the Commissioners and wants the Port to pay for box.

Commissioner Kelly called the Fire Department to check on price and was told it would run around $200.00.

Commissioner Kelly made a motion that we look into putting a box on the outside of building for the Fire Department to install their equipment on cost.

Motion carried.

2. Budget

The budget was discussed and a motion was made to accept the budget as prepared. Motion carried.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.

Our next meeting will be January 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
